For Successful Sourcing and Recruitment having the right platforms and mediums for job advertisements is as crucial as having the right content to advertise. If your job adverts are powerful, candidates will apply. If your job adverts are precise, your screening process will be easier for you to manage because the right candidates will apply.

Factchecking your Job Adverts:

Its always a great idea to factcheck before you publish anything. Heres a quick list of items to check before you publish your job advertisement.

• Project Based Position or a Permanent Position?
• Location Base?
• Exposure and growth the role promises?
• Achievement expected from Candidates hired on the Job?
• Role of the candidate within the organization?
• Compensation and Benefits for the position?
• Minimum tools, skills requirements for the job?

Location of the Position:

Mention where the position is located and where the HeadOffice of the company is located incase these are two separate positions. If there are international travel or prospects related to the position’s location then mention that. It will attract more attention.

Honestly laying out the Facts about the Job:

Don’t quote anything thats not promised for the job. Do not Lie to your audience. If candidates apply thinking something else about the position and their expectations are different from what is being offered. They will not take up the job when offered OR they will face discomfort when they come on the job.

Permanent or Contractual Jobs:

If the position is permanent you may skip this but incase the position is temporary, project based or contractual. Then the terms of contract/engagement should be mentioned on the advert. Candidates working in Permanent positions will almost always not be willing to shift into a temporary job.

Minimum requirements to be successful on this job:

Technical or Softer Skills requirements as well as certifications /qualifications required for the position must be mentioned.

Candidates often always apply for position that offer them personal and professional growth. Showcasing the future to the candidate in a position will help the candidate make a conscious effort of applying for the job.

Attractive Perks and benefits should always be mentioned on a job advert. When you are working with a tough budget, then also its always better to mention your budget in the Job Advertisement. This will help you in screening because candidates who are interested in the budget will apply for the position.

Job Advertisements are the key to attracting the right candidates for your teams. If you cannot get the content for your job advertisements right then there is likelihood that you will never hire the candidate for the right position.
